Most humanities programmes are offered by universities. Many bachelor's degrees combine a major with a minor, or two subjects of equal weight. Each university decides which combinations it allows.
Language programmes sometimes expect prior knowledge of the language. Some universities require Latin or Greek for subjects such as history or theology, often by a set point in the degree. The programme's examination or admission regulations tell you what applies.
